Plans for New Years?

I just wanted to throw this out to everyone. My girlfriend and I were planning on having some people over on New Years Eve at my house. She's inviting her friends, and I'm inviting any of you. So if you don't have any plans for New Years and are interested, let me know! NOTE: NO ALCOHOL. NONE. ZIP. If you want to drink you have to go somewhere else. Sorry :( So what will we do then? Tons of crazy games, that's what! We've got DDR, Battle of the Sexes, Scattegories, Outburst, and thanks to playing it at Jon's once, APPLES TO APPLES! Oh and we'll have tons of food. Let me know! Go to www.jglonek.net/forums, sign up, and let's discuss!

Sick & Typing

So I haven't updated my LiveJournal since the end of July when I returned from Florida huh? That's pretty bad I'd say. But since I'm laying here on my bed now sick and waitin for Melissa to come home from a family function I figure I might have some time on my hands to update. As for me personally.. like I said, I'm sick right now. Some nasty head cold and cough, probably a sinus infection. It's the worst I've been sick in awhile, with a fever to boot. But that's about it, nothing drastic with my personal health in the past four months. As for Melissa and our relationship, it's going great. I'm very, very happy with her and I hope she realizes that. Next month, on New Year's Eve, marks our one year anniversary. She's now my second longest relationship (but still has awhile until she's the longest :(), and I'm definitely happy. I just don't know what to buy her for Christmas or for our Anniversary! Aah! With my family life.. it's been, interesting. Joey is off to college at the School of Visual Arts in NYC and seems to be enjoying it. He comes home every 3 weekends maybe. The more interesting part of my family life is that my mom's boyfriend has moved in with us. He's a nice guy, just a bit religious though. Adds in a strange mix to the house to have all this Jesus stuff around that I'm not used to. He also brought with him a very old Chihuaha, and a Cockatoo that won't shut up. My one dog Buddy tries to get into barking/squawking fights with it, but for the most part all four of my animals run downstairs away from the bird. Work.. work was going the same up until almost a month ago now. I got promoted to 'Office Equipment Specialist', also known as Business Machines Lead, also known as Department Supervisor. Fun stuff huh? I have more responsibility now and get to order people around. But ironically it's less stress than my previous job as Inventory Associate. Go figure. I've now trained two people to do that job, because the first one after me couldn't handle it. Oh and I get to go to meetings and stuff now too, what fun. There go my dog and the bird again. As for school.. well obviously you can tell I haven't gotten away from Staples yet (five years!), so I still need to get a Bachelor's. "I thought you were going to DeVry?" you might say to me. I was. But after too much deception from them I decided it would be best if I found my education elsewhere. Therefore I'm starting Rider in January. I should graduate Fall 2007 I'd say. We'll see. I wish I attended a four year in the first place so I would be graduating this year like most of my friends. Instead, because of my stupidity with attending Mercer, I'm two years+ behind. Big mistake. So that's that stuff. What else.. aah gaming. I'm sure everyone has seen what Nintendo Revolution's controller is by now. I can't wait to try that out. The Nintendo DS is finally going online with Mario Kart on Tuesday! Yay! I'll be ready for anyone who wants to kick my ass. My username will be jglonek on Nintendo's WiFi service. Come find me :) The DS has become my system of choice for playing lately, with all the good games on it. Although I'm still playing my Gamecube too with games like Fire Emblem and Lego Star Wars. Oh and I can't forget that HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE COMES OUT ON FRIDAY! MIDNIGHT SHOWING HERE WE COME!! Gotta work on my costume :)

Back from Disney!

So ya we made it back from Disney. What a two weeks! We did A LOT, and it was fun. I'm sure you guys are interested in knowing what happened. I may go into more detail in the future, but for now I wrote up a list of what we did on the way back (so everyone could tell whoever asked what happened), and I thought I'd post it here. Leave comments if you want explanations on any of it. I have a lot of pictures too to go through, and of course I bought stuff. It was the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland too, which meant every park was celebrating, 'the happiest celebration on earth'. So it was even fancier :) Day 0 (Saturday, 7/9/05): Left for Florida at 4am Ate breakfast at Waffle House in Virginia Stopped in Georgia at a Comfort Inn Ate dinner at Cracker Barrel Day 1 (Sunday, 7/10/05): Left for Florida at 11am Ate breakfast at IHOP Arrived at Fort Wilderness at 2:30, checked in. Cabin #2812 Got golf cart Ate dinner at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian Went to the Magic Kingdom: - Pirates of the Caribbean, Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Management, The Haunted Mansion, It

I haven't updated SINCE APRIL?!

Wow! Apparently I'm just not good at keeping my journal going since it's been almost three months since I last updated. I'm still alive, for those of you out there who might still check my journal occasionally :) Where to start. 1 -> Melissa. Things are still going strong with her :) We celebrated our 6 month anniversary last night, and I'm so very happy that I'm still with her. I'm glad I met her, and we've had tons of fun the past six months, and I can't wait to see what the future might hold for us. I'm just very happy :) 2 -> Work. Still at Staples (not that anyone found that surprising I bet). Five years at the end of this month. I had been looking for new jobs but since I'm leaving on vacation soon I thought I'd at least wait until I get back to do anything serious. Plus there's the whole college thing. 3 -> College. I'm going to DeVry I decided. I'm going to major in Network Communications Management. I start at the end of October (they have tri-mesters, it's weird), and hopefully I'll only be there 1 1/2 - 2 years and I'll have my Bachelor's. Yay! No idea on scheduling yet, so we'll see how that goes. And I'm going to do my best to be A+ certified by the end of the summer. Ok so those are the major things, now it's time to move onto other random things.. Let's see, since April.. I finished Mercer again. I'm done this time I swear (unless I go for an Animation class or something with Maya for fun). I passed everything (including Calc 2) yay! I'll have to put up some pictures from my Maya class with my projects. I've been going to Six Flags a lot with Melissa and George. 20 times already this year! So for some updates about the park (remember to always look at www.gainsider.com. 1) Kingda Ka is broken. Yes. Something went wrong with the guide cable area three weeks ago and it's been worked on as quick as possible to reopen. Soon I hope. I didn't get to write about it for whatever reason but at the end of May I got to be involved in the commercial shoot for the coaster. I got to ride it 11 times the first day (because it had issues that prevented it from runniing most of the day) and 44 times the second day! 44! We even did a helicopter shoot in the morning where we couldn't even get out of the train, they kept launching us! And then I rode it once more when it officially opened, so my total is 56. Look for me on the commercial (most likely in the green or dark blue trains) whenever it starts airing again :) And here's a picture of me on my first ride! 2) They are building a big wooden coaster for next year. They torn down Viper and are preparing to put it there (and other places). I'll let everyone know the details when I get them. So besides Six Flags what have I done? Well we've gone to the beach a few times, and Melissa and I actually drove out to Cedar Point amusement park in Ohio a few weekends ago! It was an 8 hour drive both ways, with nasty thunderstorms and construction (ack), but the park was cool! We stayed in a hotel that was pretty cheap and was very close to the park. Definitely worth the trip. I have pictures that will make it up at some point. We're probably going to head to Six Flags New England around the end of August. Also, my brother graduated two weeks ago yay! He's off to the School of Visual Arts in NYC for the fall. Good luck! Oh and a biggie (and I'l lhave pictures asap): I built a brick patio! Yes! You heard me correctly- manual labor! It's a 310sq ft patio, and it took A LOT of work by hand digging things out and filling them back in. I have Melissa (ESPECIALLY Melissa, for putting up with all of it and helping A LOT), my brother, his girlfriend, my mom, and my grandfather to thank for getting it all done - especially the day where we filled a commercial dump truck FULL of dirt and grass by hand! It looks pretty good, and has nice patio furniture on it now. You can see the final product here. Hmm, there's a nice big thunderstorm here right now. Hopefully I'll keep power. As for movies, well I've seen a few. Star Wars Episode 3 at midnight! Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy! Guess Who! Sahara! Madagascar! Batman! And War of the Worlds! All great stuff! I definitely recomment seeing them all. Oh and I went to St. Greg's like 4 times last week. Even entered to win the car and 50/50. No luck :( And I've been swimming in my pool ;) And finally, when it comes to games.. I'm trying. Finally beat Zelda: Minish Cap for the GBA. I got a lot more DS games (Kirby is the DS' killer app - seriously. This game should have come out at launch). I haven't played my 'Cube, which kinda stinks :( And I have Battlefield 2 for the PC which is good but I stink at it. And RCT3: Soaked! I love Rollercoaster Tycoon :) And I'm going to work on Half-Life 2 again today. What else is in my plans? Tonight just lounge as Melissa is working. Tomorrow is random stuff like Cold Stone for free ice cream before Melissa works at 4:30 again. Then hopefully we can get to the fireworks at Mercer at night. Sunday is Hurricane Harbor in the morning hopefully, and then Fireworks at Vets at night. Then Monday I have to work 4 hours, blah, but I get out at 12:30 and then it's a picnic at my house and probably fireworks in LBI (never done that before). After that it's playing games while Melissa works during the week (when I'm not working), and packing. Packing why? Because I leave for Disney for two weeks NEXT SATURDAY!

Back from Hibernation

So ok, yea, I haven't updated in almost a month, except that little update via my cell phone while sitting in church on Easter Sunday. So now it's 1am and I figured I'd update.. So what's been going on? Well let's see, I last updated.. hmm.. Starting with work.. same old. I'm still there. Nothing has changed in a month really. There's a job opening at Mercer for a local company next week that I want to attend. Apparently they need to hire over 100 people so we'll see how that goes. Other than that I look to be stuck at Staples! :( Although I have made some nice purchases recently on clearance.. $50 wireless keyboard/mouse for $8.50. $40 7 shelf plastic files for $1.50. A $400 Palm Tungsten T3 for $50. Etc. Not bad eh? :) And I'm trying to get the T3 replaced as it was the display model at work and it's kinda busted. I mailed it out today but OH MY GOD I HATE OUTSOURCING AND TALKING TO PEOPLE FROM THE PHILIPPINES. School is the usual.. Calc 2 is hard but I'm surviving. English, History, and Marketing are the usual bs. My Computer Modeling class is great - I'll have to post some pictures of what I've done at some point. Maya is a lot of fun to work with. I even got Melissa to go and take the class next year, and switch her major to Computer Graphics! I fianlly got my acceptance (yea) letter from TCNJ. But out of my 83 credits they will only take 31! Rider was 42, Rowan was 65, and I haven't gotten official from DeVry but it should be in the 50's I hope. Tomorrow I have an Open House at DeVry that we're all going to, so hopefully I'll like the college because that's where I feel like going at the moment. Has anyone heard anything about it? Melissa is great :) She's sittin behind me as I type this, all worn out from DDR. That'll be explained below, our DDR extravaganza! We had an issue about two weeks ago but I hope we worked it out. I love her very much and I want to keep her as long as she will let me do that :) My desktop computer had been down for about 3 weeks so that's one reason I didn't really post. After switching out almost everything I ended up having bad RAM, doh. So now it's running good. I actually got it to copy DVD's about 5x faster than before which is good, but bad :) I need to start seeing movies.. we're going to go see Sahara tomorrow probably. And Hitchhiker's Guide is in 2 weeks! And Star Wars is in a month! I'm going to have to work on a list for people who want to go to the midnight showing with me soon, so let me know if you want to go. Six Flags opened two weeks ago, not that I made much mention of it here. There's something cool going on with me and the new coaster but I'll talk about it in a few weeks when (and if) I'm able to. Kingda Ka should open next Friday for Coasters After Dark, and I'll be there :) I can't wait to ride it! And if you read Melissa's journal you will see we got pictures and video of it launching. So go to www.gainsider.com. We are also making plans to go to Dorney Park, Cedar Point, and maybe Hershey this summer. Should be fun!! :) Speaking of my website, Melissa is working on making a logo for us to put on new t-shirts for it, and so far it's looking great. When she has one she wants to be seen I'll scan it for everyone to see :) I can't wait to have it on my shirt. I want a PSP :( My brother has one and it's cool. I'm trying to figure out what I should spend a little money on game-wise. I'll have to decide and see. And then no more money spending since I'm saving for Disney and need to pay stuff off! Oh as for the DDR thing.. Melissa got me into DDR. And Stepmania, a DDR thingy on the computer. We have her metal pad set up in my family room with one of my computers hooked up to the TV so Stepmania with its 500+ songs is running and using the pad. It's great! We'll have to have DDR parties in the summer. And I need to get better! Melissa says I might even lose my gut playing it! Well that's about it for now since it's late. I'll ramble another day. I just can't wait to spend more time with Melissa, to find a better job, to play some games, and to get done with Mercer for good! If I go to DeVry it doesn't start until October 31st, so I get a nice break. And it should be a fun summer, with trips to other parks, and Disney! And the beach, and my pool.. Well that's all. I'll update again soon, I swear!

A New Job?!

I was going to include this in my long post, but I thought I should put it in its own one. I hinted at it in the other post but.. I look for jobs, and apply for them online, all the time. But I rarely hear back. On Monday my mom called me and let me know my aunt saw a job posting at the State for an IT job, and faxed me the information. I mailed out my resume on Monday, got a call yestery, and had an interview today with the IT unit at the NJ State Department of Community Affairs for a PC Help Desk Technician position today! I don't know how it went.. how do you judge those things? All I know is that I would love to have that job, and even if it starts "low" at $28,000 a year, I think I can survive on that :) It's $10,000 more than I make now. But I don't want to get my hopes up.. but it's the perfect job for me right now. I hope things work out.. but they probably won't. At least I tried. I hope I get that job, or one like it, soon, and get out of retail. I'll let everyone know when I hear something, which is supposed to be early next week, since they still had a few more interviews. They said they would make the decision in the early park of next week, though.

An Update?! From the dead!

Geeze, it's almost been a month since I updated my journal. I'm so lazy sometimes! I guess I really should huh? For all of you interested in what's going on in my love life, just keep directing yourself to Melissa's journal - its more up to date than mine with what's going on. Speaking of Melissa, things are going really well - its been over two months now! I'm very happy with her, and I love her, and I hope things continue to work out :) School.. how's school going.. pretty good. Calculus is getting better, and my Maya class is great. Once I finish project 2 (which has been delayed because of the snow), I'll post pictures of it for people to see. 3D Modeling is great. My three online classes are a pain in the butt, but I'm managing them. I have to go to Middlesex County College though next Wednesday to take a midterm. Crappy online class where I need to do in-school stuff :( I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up going to DeVry. So if anyone knows anything bad about it speak now please! Rowan wanted an answer too soon, and I didn't want to dorm with anyone and the chances of a single were slim. Rider was too expensive at the end. And I still haven't heard back from TCNJ. But DeVry seems to be the best choice for me, as it's focused on what I want to do for a career, and I can get it done quick I hope. Work is going alright I guess.. It's just so repetative anymore. I'm getting kinda tired of counting the same things all the time, trying to keep the store organized and doing more than I should be thanks to the lazy people at night. And I have to work this Saturday night (I don't usually work weekends) because it's the store's Physical Inventory, the once-a-year late nighter where the morons from RGIS come to count our product. Ah well, there's free food at least. What have I been up to lately? Eh, hanging with Melissa mostly. Been watching a lot of movies (just watched Identity the other day - crazy movie). Playing video games (Trying to play Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, but it's kind of boring). Actually watching American Idol. Still trying to get things installed and situated on my computer, although I'm almost done. I should play some computer games, and start beating some of my GBA/DS/GC games. Speaking of the DS, I should be getting my second game for it soon - Rayman! And as for that Playstation Portable.. I'm not getting it. It's too much. My brother is, though, so we'll see how it is. I've also been working on my new pride and joy website with George, www.gainsider.com. It's got A LOT of scripting going on, visual and behind the scenes, and it's probably the most advanced, crazy website I've ever created from scratch. I just got a image gallery script installed and got all our construction pictures in it. The site still isn't completely done, but it will be by opening day - the 25th. I hope the site becomes popular, because I'm proud of it. Oh, I'm having issues with the iSay comment system, so anyone that could help me with that, I'd be really appreciative. And for the future... it's hanging with Melissa. Getting through school. Playing video/computer games.(Maybe) getting a new job - and I will update on that when I hear something. And.. March 25th, three weeks away, is Great Adventure Opening Day! I can't wait! Melissa got a season pass, so we'll see what she ends up liking to do. Kingda Ka won't be open but we can see it, and ride the other coasters, and see the tigers, and get lots of pictures for the website. It should be a blast! :)

Mmmm

Well I'm home on lunch so I thought I'd make a quick update. Not too much going on new except trying to keep up with schoolwork and all of that. And hangin with Melissa ;) We were playing Zelda a lot yesterday. And watched some of the Superbowl (ugh!), and that kinda thing. It's good ;) Did I mention I got accepted to Rowan too> So that's 3 out of 4. The only problem is that Rowan wants to hear back within 30 days. That's kinda soon - I might not even hear from TCNJ by then. My new computer is built, but apparently RAM needs to be put in in pairs in this motherboard, so I need to get another chip or I can't use the third one I have :( Now I need to start loading on all the programs again, that should be a load of fun. Well, that's about it, except this: Click here for a VIEW FROM THE TOP (sorry, the picture won't show up when I try to display it. You need to click)
The park opens March 25th. Kingda Ka doesn't open until April. But I can't wait!

Almost Done

So this week hasn't been too spectacular in terms of things happening. Work, school, and Melissa for the most part. She's had me watching American Idol, oh no! I tried to stay way from that reality TV stuff and now it isn't working! ;) Right now she's still asleep on my bed (since I fell asleep like two hours before she did last night), so I'm updating my journal and doing some homework. My old computer was definitely done for, so many errors that I had to give up. I'm in the process of putting together the new one; it's total stats are: AMD Althon 64 3500+, 1GB RAM (its pc266, so I need to get new RAM later), 250GB hd, 120GB hd, 60GB hd (one has to go, just need to transfer stuff), CDRW and DVDRW (need to get a DVDROM), and my ATI Radeon 9700 Pro. Whee! I just need to run to CompUSA and (hopefully) get some copper studs to raise the motherboard up. I thought I had some lying around but apparently now. So the computer is just kinda sitting in the case right now. I bought the most GIGANTIC heatsink and fan. Wow. Better not overheat now! School is going alright. I made a crazy cool model in my 3D Modeling w/ Maya class. Once it's finished on Monday I'll post some pictures (I have some now but it's a black bg vs a black object so it's a little hard to see). Calc 2 is eh, Calc. my other online classes are fine. Just getting into the groove of making time to get all the homework done. I got accepted to Rowan yesterday. So all that's left now is TCNJ. I have no idea where I want to go :( Anyone who's heard anything about the Computer Science/Computer Networking stuff at TCNJ, Rowan, Rider, and DeVry please speak up! Not sure what else is going on this weekend. Hanging out with Melissa, if she comes up with anything she wants to go we'll go do that. Otherwise just lounging, playing Zelda.. watching movies, doing my hw and getting my computer up.. Hmm, it's going to be warm today.. maybe a nighttime trip to LBI is in order ;) And sometime this week we're going to go to the Philly Auto Show. It's nice to see cars that you know you can never own, and sit in them! I think the funniest part of the whole thing is that when I went to the auto show a year ago I saw the Scion symbol and go "what the hell is that?" And when I saw the xA and xB I said "eww, I'd never own a Scion".. cue to 6 months later, lol. That's about it for now; just wanted to update. Oh yea, and GO EAGLES!

Computer Techs Unite!

Alright guys, I know you're out there and reading this. Anyone who can help me with my computer issues would be a godsend right now. The past two weeks my computer has been randomly resetting itself, or just turning itself off, or taking 6 boot attempts to get into windows, sometimes stalling and not even going into POST. It will either: boot up fine Boot up to windows and turn off Boot up to BIOS and say my CPU setting was incorrect and it hung (no, I do not overclock) Not even do POST and just hang Sometimes like now I can get into Windows fine and everything seems to work great, until it just turns off. Like I turned it on before I left for class at 3, when I got home at 5 it was off. Now it's been on for an hour and a half again. I replaced the power supply; same issue. Oh, the computer wasn't keeping time either; so I replaced the battery today. I read at one point it was a driver issue, so I reinstalled all my drivers. Was working fine for a few days, and then it started up again. I just recently got the HP 6100 AIO which might be causing the driver conflict, IF that's the only error. I uninstalled the printer but it's already turned off once since then. I learned how to make it show me the blue screens instead of turning off all the time. Some of the error messages I've gotten are: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. STOP: 0x00000050 BAD_POOL_HEADER. STOP: 0x00000019 MEMORY_MANAGEMENT 0x0000001A Then just a STOP: 0x00000023 I've tried looking it all up but it doesn't seem to really be related. The computer is 3 years old :( Can anyone help me? What should I do?

4 weeks :)

So I decided I should update; it's only been what, over a week? I don't update too much. As I'm writing this Melissa is over on my bed falling asleep, it's cute :) Today was 4 weeks for us too, so things seem to be going pretty well. I've spent a lot of time with her the past month, and I really like her. I don't know where things are going to go; I don't know where she wants them to go. Which is probably what worries me the most.. I don't want it to end up like my last relationship with someone close by did. But so far I'm liking whats happening a lot :) We'll have to see where it goes.. My one worry though is that at times we have every different views and opinions on things, and I don't know how that's going to affect things as time goes by We've just lounged and watched movies.. we've gone out bowling (I got 172! my highest score ever!), we've gone to some shows, we've driven to malls. I watched her play DDR, which she's pretty good at (definitely better than me) even though she won't admit it ;) I want her to set the pad up she has at home though so I can see if I can beat her! I even drove her and two of her friends to NYC in my tC this past week to see a show. Everything went well, and I even drove past SVA, my brother's college he'll be at in the fall, hehe. Somehow though I managed to drag back a 10 foot white tarp with me all the way from the city though. No wonder people were honking at me on the turnpike! We left it at WaWa. Melissa and I have just spent a lot of time together, and it's been fun :) I seem to have gotten her somehow hopelessly addicted to the GBA and to Zelda: Link to the Past. Oops :) At least she's enjoying it! (yes Melissa, this is the line that I got up to add and you thought I was crazy - you probably still do after reading it ;)) So has everyone enjoyed the snow? I know I have! ha! My tC's first snow fall, and I have pictures too to post at some point :) I helped Melissa dig out her car and a spot for mine, but something happened and they got covered up two days later, it sucks :( Oh, so Great Adventure opens at 10am March 25th! I'll be there! Kingda Ka is supposedly going to open April 23rd, with the coasters after dark for season passholders the day before, woo! It'll be nice to see Kingda Ka in two months though even if I can't ride it. I'll ride the heck out of the other ones before then :) They have talent auditions next Saturday though; maybe I can head into the park and see it then! So Sopranos production is supposed to start within the next few months for the final season. I can't wait! And r umors for this year's E3 are already sky high. Duke Nukem Forever to be shown (haha), TF2 (hahaha!), Nintendo Revolution, Game Boy Evolution (to run GC games themselves or games equivalent to them), PS3, XBox 2.. woo! THE HYPE! So I got accepted to both DeVry and Rider. I got a $5,000 scholarship to Rider but the school is $22,000+ a year compared to $10,000 and under for others. So the scholarship doesn't entice me to go there much. I'm waiting to hear from Rowan and TCNJ. DeVry seems really good right now; especially since it's a more tech-focused school and they do co-op programs so I can get paid in the field I want to be in. Has anyone heard anything about the school? My computer has been down most of the week; it wouldn't turn on half the time, it would turn itself off and reset.. I bought a new power supply which kinda fixed the problem, but it was still turning off. After doing some digging I discovered that I had a driver issue that was causing it. I reinstalled all my drivers and so far everything is working. I'm addicted to Zelda: The Minish Cap on GBA. Once I take care of that I need to take care of some other GBA games, and hopefully some decent DS games will come out soon. Melissa and I have also been playing Zelda Four Swords on GC, which is fun :) I got Battle for Middle Earth for the PC; just more things that I have to play there, lol. I need to play World of Warcraft again. On the school front.. My Maya class is great; I love doing Maya! The 3 online classes are good. Calc 2 is a pain in the ass, and I'm not sure what I want to do about it. On the work front.. not much is happening. Someone find me a new job. I have a piece of paper in front of me loaded with little things I need to remember to do.. from homework to burning cds to finding a new job. Oh, as for my cat Indiana, since everyone is probably on the edge of their seats waiting to know... he pooped the string out! woo!

Most. Visitors. Ever. And Stringy Butts. And Stuff

Yes yes, some of you know of all the websites I've run over the years (and the 6 uncompleted ones I currently have). TF Headquarters years ago was by far my most popular.. until now. I got a bill in my email today from my free webhost. I have to pay a whole 22 cents for going over usage. But that means www.gainsider.com is my most popular site by far, transferring over 5GB of data in one month! I looked at the stats today, and from the day George and I first put pictures up (12/3) until today, we have had 13,234 unique visitors and 68,090 page views! AMAZING! The website was thrown together for the Kingda Ka pics, but now that we have a breather until March 25th it's going to get an overhaul. Oh, if anyone wants to see it, here is the official video to show the topping off of Kingda Ka Oh.. I have a cat problem. Yesterday my cat Indiana threw up a few times. I went to check on him again after work and I picked him up and he scooped out of my hands and ran upstairs. Melissa looks at him and goes "he has a string coming out of his butt!" and I didn't believe it. So I went to see and sure enough, it looked like he did. I told my brother to come out and see and he pulled on the string and the cat let out a big MEOW and ran under the bed. So I called the vet and they said to bring him in. So my mom met Melissa and me at the vet and they looked at him. They pulled another 2 ft of string out of his butt, totalling 4ft 2in. They said they had to cut it because it got tight, so there's still some in there. They hope he poops it out, but it can tie up the intestines pretty bad and cause pain, so if it doesn't work itself out he needs surgery to get it removed. The string is from outside and it held up my tree. My mom knows he was playing with it but didn't think he ate it.. and how can a cat eat 4-6ft of string anyway? Work is the usual.. nothing ever changes. I have an interview tomorrow for DeVry.. why they want an interview for me to go to the college who knows. Speaking of colleges I started Mercer again today. Calc 2. I'm taking 5 classes: Calc 2 and 3D Computer modeling (w/ Maya, Yay!) are at Mercer. A History, english, and marketing class are online. This is all to give me more credits to transfer with. Calc 2 is going to be terrible. I originally thought it was me since I almost failed Mayle's class in 12th grade and failed my first time doing calc at mercer. But then I had a really good teacher when I did calc again, and even though I missed 4 classes, didn't do any homework, and played with my Pocket PC most of the time, I understood what he taught and got a B! So maybe it really is the teacher. And my teacher this semester is an anal grad student. He's so anal that we can't write problems out on paper side by side, and we can only use one side of the paper when we do work to hand it in. Also, he's under the impression that we already learned some integration (whch we didn't - my professor especially stopped before that because it was calc 2 stuff), so he breezed through some bullshit review today and now I'm already lost. I'm going to have to learn integration agan myself to make sure I know what's going on. And my history class doesn't start till Feb, my marketing class isn't online to do yet, my english class is online but nothing is up.. and i don't start my modeling class till Monday. I got Zelda Minish Cap for GBA.. did I say that already? It's pretty good. I'm waiting for more DS games to come out. Still kinda working on WoW and HL2. Need to do something with them when I have time. I decided to watch the Battlestar Galactica series on SciFi on Friday and it seemed good, so I bought the DVD for the miniseries (along with Farscape: Peacekeeper Wars since I missed that on TV) to watch it. Hope it's good. It seems to be. Oh I got a new printer finally, yay. The HP 6110 All-in-One, which I've wanted for years now. It does everything, and I'm happy with it so far :) I've also been setting up wireless networks and stuff. I cleaned up Melissa's computer so it runs better, and when her router comes in I'm going to put it up so she can go wireless on her laptop. You know, we got new price things at Staples for tech support and they charge $99 for one wireless device install? CRAZY! I need to work on getting my own business going. I need to get A+ certified though :( Most of the time lately I've been with Melissa, which is a good thing :) We've done a lot of stuff; like just lounging and falling asleep.. watching movies (The Village was bad, ick! Dodgeball was crazy but weird! I'm trying to watch Donnie Darko but I fell asleep. Same with Riddick), making funnel cakes ;), playing games (Zelda Four Swords on GC, hehe), and just hanging out and going places and having a good time. Things seem to be going well with her, and I'm glad :) We'll see where it takes us. It's been over two weeks now, and things seem to be going strong. My last close relationship like this ended pretty badly and pretty fast, but it didn't start out anywhere like how this one is, so it should be good, I hope :) I really like her, and I really like what we have. I just don't want her to get sick and bored of me :( That's what I'm most afraid of. I love spending time with her but I'm afraid I'll do something wrong and it'll be over. I hope not. Well for the rest of the evening I'm going to be doing misc stuff around my room (school stuff probably, and websites, movie organization, cleaning, etc), just waiting for Melissa to get out of work :)

An Update (SUPPOSED TO BE POSTED ON FRIDAY)

So I'm just lounging for the evening while Melissa is out with some of her friends so I thought I'd update. It's been a great two weeks with her so far, and I'm glad we started dating. I hope things continue to go really well. I'm going to be seeing her later and probably for a majority of the weekend as well, yay! So what else is new? Work and starting Mercer on Tuesday.. yay. Waiting for responses on what colleges I got into. Right now I'm watching Battlestar Galactica on SciFi, seeing how it is. Doesn't seem too bad so far. I should probably go buy the miniseries and watch that. Oh, so Six Flags opens on March 25th! Kingda Ka won't be open until the end of April, but it was topped off!. Oh so I got the new Zelda game for GBA, it's pretty good so far. I'm slowly working on other GBA, DS, GC, and PC games. Hmm, what else? Not sure.. waiting for Melissa to call.

Fun :)

Ya I haven't updated too much. Mainly because I've been with Melissa a lot :) She's off taking a shower right now so I thought I'd update hehe. She can read it later ;) If you read her journal you can see what we've been up to, But ya, in the past week we've seen each other every day. Now I know that can't continue most likely, but it has been nice. We've just hung out; we've gone to see A Series of Unfortunate Events and Meet the Fockers. We've watched tv and movies at home. We've relaxed. We've gone out to the mall, the Cheesecake Factory, LBI, and more. It's been a lot of fun with her the past week, and I'm glad things are working as they are. Hopefully they will keep going.  So this week I've been working.. and I got everything done for the colleges that I need to, except FAFSA. So now I'm just waiting to here back. I start Mercer again in a little over two weeks. I can't wait :-/ Well that's about it, I'll update again soon!

12/31

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year, which I haven't yet. Why not? Eh, I've been.. busy ;) And on that note.. well I have a new girlfriend, who I've been enjoying spending time with since New Year's Eve :) Her name is Melissa. And, well, since it's late and she said I should get to sleep you can read about everything on her LiveJournal :) I'm sure I'll type my fair share of things but that's a start. Oh, and I've officially applied to the following: Rowan, TCNJ, Rider, and DeVry. I need to get Steinert and Mercer to send transcripts but the applications themselves are done, yay! Now that that's out of the way.. that was really bothering me.. I have work, school, and Melissa to focus on. And reading and games in my free time. And ya know.. it's SO much nicer having a girlfriend who lives close by. Wow. It's something i've never experienced before, and it's really nice. I can stay out late and get home quick ;) Well that's it. Must get sleep so I can go to work, then see Melissa, and get more Kingda Ka pics!
