Where's that liquor..
Work the past few days has been alright. Our printer has been down so that means I can't do my job. Everything I do revolves around 2 things: the RF gun and the printer. If I cant use one or othe other, I'm screwed. So yesterday I cleaned up the backroom and helped George in BM, and today I helped pull the truck and pulled down all of Aisle 1. They fixed the printer late in the day so tomorrow things should be back to normal. I need to play catchup now. Fun fun. Someone come and visit, please. So how about this guy that always comes into Staples wanting computer help (and ya, I help him cause he's nice), came in and gave me and Lauren (since Lauren helped him out too) $25 each for Christmas today? Nice, but unnecessary. Oh, and I did a service call for a house that I installed a wireless network in over a year ago; they needed it switched around. I need to do more service calls with good looking college girls living there. Geeze! As for other things.. I printed out the college applications I need to fill out again, so I can copy information from the ones I filled out and make them nice and neat on the final ones to mail in. Gotta do that soon. I'm not really looking forward to going back to Mercer but oh well. I've been playing games.. attempting to get farther in World of Warcraft. And I have so many Gamecube games to take care of, aah. I should work on my websites too. And finish that GALRE dvd. Oh and I'm selling my HP Ipaq 2215 if anyone wants it. I've been doing daily runs out to Jackson to see how Kingda Ka is coming along because they should top it off any day now. The past few days there hasn't been much action but today they were putting on more track! (Sorry for the bad quality, my digital camera isn't the best with zoom, and George was working). So that means they should put the crown on tomorrow and it'll be done! Oh, someone snapped This picture of Kingda Ka from Scream Machine, but it was a little old so I edited it with the new tower pieces on top to give some perspective. Oh, and check out this picture. It's a comparison of Kingda Ka's launch track upwards against Top Thrill Dragster's (the current record holder that KK is going to beat). They're made by the same company too. Look at the difference in supports! Well, I think I might go read Homeward Bound now. And/or play some World of Warcraft. Maybe RCT3 since I have a decent park going (that game is A LOT of fun btw. If you liked the old Rollercoaster Tycoon games you'll love this one!). Oh and Homeward Bound is the conclusion of the World War and Colonization series of books. If any of you remember Garrett and I talking about Kassquit and lizard sex and ginger.. err I mean, aliens invading during World War 2, then this is the book series that I mean, and it's finally coming to an end! I'll add more if I think of it tonight. There was more but I'm a bit sidetracked now. Oh, and I'd like to say that I'm surprised so many people read this.. I didn't think anyone was interested in what I had to say. There are still some things I keep from this for one reason or another, but I try to be pretty open with what I talk about, whether people want to hear it or not.

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas everyone :) And if you don't celebrate Christmas, well, Happy Holidays! My Christmas was alright. It was nice seeing my family, although I see the same people a lot.. so.. I don't know. It's starting to feel like it isn't something special, and thats not how it should be. Scott being in the picture this year helped spice things up a bit, but there's only so much the little baby can do. Also, I saw my cousins again.. well Chris and Foster. Foster is engaged now apparently. Good for him! I'm working on World of Warcraft, Half-Life 2, and Paper Mario 2 at the moment, woo! Tomorrow is going to be more of the same. Then work on Monday. Oh, and my brother got into his one and only college choice - The School of Visual Arts in NYC. The place we went to for the open house a month ago. Congrats to him! :)

Out and About
Oh, and I just wanted to say that "Out and About" (c) is Copyright 2003-2004.. ME! I started it! And now people are using it :( I know what "out and about" means. I started it. You can't fool me by using it!! Just don't do anything I wouldn't do ;)
Frog Leap
You guys need to try this. http://www.ebaumsworld.com/frogleap.html I was given the link by someone who couldn't do it. I gave it off to two people right away, only one of them finished it, and that person finished it in about the same amount of time (5 min, lol) that I did. So so far it's Hamilton Township Public Schools 2, everywhere else 0. Go us! I made a solution too :)
Almost time..
It's almost Christmas huh? Amazing how fast time goes. Oh and no I haven't had any more to drink since I turned 21, so nice try anyone thinking that ;) I haven't been doing too much lately.. just odds and ends, making sure everything is moving the right direction in my life. Oh, so one of my cards says "21 things to do before you turn 21". Let me run through them: 1. Decide what you want to be when you grow up. -> Sure, but I think I may have to become Indian too 2. Learned how to parallel park (or at least where to go so you don't have to) -> I can parallel park (unlike some people), just not too well :) 3. Started a savings plan -> Well, I'm saving for Disney in a savings account.. does that count? 4. Tried to talk your way out of a traffic ticket -> Which time? The best was down in LBI last year 5. Forgtten your locker combination -> I can't remember where I put my shoes sometimes, let alone that. I always had the papers we were given in high school in my bookbag just in case 6. Forgiven your high school heart break -> HAHA, fat chance 7. Stopped expecting an easter basket -> Why? I still get one 8. Given up prank phone calls -> Never did that. 9. Learned which is the salad fork -> Oh come on, you're lucky i use a fork at all 10. Read the book instead of seeing the movie -> Ha, for those that know me.. all the time 11. Registered to vote -> Yea, and look how much good it did! DOWN WITH BUSH! 12. Watched a movie with subtitles -> Uh, a complete movie? No.. 13. Realized no one really cares what you were like in high school -> Well, I guess.. not that I've changed at all 14. Outgrown your grade school nickname -> Yeah, and that's only because I don't talk to Garrett too much anymore 15. Had a deja vu experience -> Every day 16. Had a deja vu experience -> I think they ran out of things to say and thought they'd be tongue in cheek 17. Cooked something without using the microwave -> Almost always. i don't like nuking things 18. Realized that pig latin doesn't count as a foreign language -> So what? I still speak it better than Spanish, even with two years of it! 19. Had a job where you have to wear a uniform -> Well, I had a Risoldi's vest on.. and now I wear black and red every day.. 20. Eaten at the "adults table" at a family celebration -> Well ya 21. Opened a birthday card that says how wonderful you are and wishes you a happy, happy day -> Just did. Of course I prefer cards such as what we gave my aunt and uncle for their anniversary this year: "You guys are still very much in love and showing it. But please close the blinds" If anyone wants to type their own answers for that, go ahead and put it in comments to this post :) These are the movies I plan on seeing soon. If anyone wants to go with me let me know, otherwise I guess I'll be seeing them by myself: A Series of Unfortunate Events, Meet the Fockers, and The Life Aquatic. I'm still trying to figure out relationships.. I hope I find what I want, but I seem to have gotten more indecisive lately. Maybe I'm not ready, or I'm waiting for exactly what I want? And I don't know what that is.. What's everyone doing for Christmas? I'm just going over my Aunt's tomorrow.. and then just a little breakfast at my house on Saturday morning. Then I'll be bummed all day. Up until I go back to Mercer in January will consist of playing games (I need to work on getting to level 60 in WoW), finishing my college apps, and working and paying bills and buying things. I'm debating if I should buy a webcam or not.. I haven't had one in so many years it's ridiculous (the last one I had connected to a serial port and a mouse port). And I need other random things.. and Staples has the HP 6110 All-in-One I wanted on sale in two weeks for $170 (down from $300!) and a 250GB hd on sale for $130. Hmm... I'm debating on getting my Athlon 64 computer up and running at some point.. So we got more Kingda Ka pictures yestersday. It's getting there. It should be done by New Year's. Well that's it for now. Gonna clean my room, wrap my mom's presents.. play some games. Maybe watch a movie. I watched Bourne Supremacy last night. Not too bad but I think the first one was a little more suspenseful and better.

7 Months Away
What will you be doing 7 months from now? I wonder what will be going on in my life at that time. I'll be in Disney World for half of July which will be nice. But who knows what else will be going on. Better than now, I hope. Why do I ask?
That's why. That's all for today. Not in the mood to post much. Tomorrow is work, Kingda Ka pictures (woo!) and then room cleaning and game playing and college application working ons. Fun fun

Another week..
Yay, it's 11:30 Sunday night. Woo. Time to start another week. Yea I'm in a great mood aren't I? Yesterday I worked and then sat on my butt. Today I sat on my butt and played World of Warcraft and Rollercoaster Tycoon 3. I need to get farther in Half-Life 2, but that's another day. It's time to go read now. Oh, and I got a letter in the mail for my birthday from my dad. Wasn't expecting that. It's been a weekend full of surprises.

I'm 21!
So today is my birthday. It's going alright so far.. it isn't over yet, but I thought I'd post with what's happened so far and update it as I go. I woke up this morning around 7 and proceeded to take a shower and then head to the DMV to get my new license. Things went smooth and I was only there for 15-20 minutes. I have my new license (The fancy digital kind) and the picture is alright (no more hickies on my neck, woo!) so that's good. After that I came home and I drove with my mom down to Atlantic City. Let me tell ya.. it's a long drive for NOTHING! Man, i went in 5 casinos I guess. Here's what they have: 95% is slot machines. 1% video poker. 3% card tables. Now since I hate slots, what a waste of time! Itw as nice to experience it, but I don't have any interest in going back. And ya know, I dind't get carded. At all. After relaxing at home for an hour I went out to Applebee's with my family. My mom, brother, grandfather, my aunt and her 'boyfriend', and my other aunt, her husband, and my baby cousin. It went well, Had the usual food, had some funny moments with the baby.. like, for instance, some women walked past and Scott (the baby) was lookin at them, and my uncle goes 'yea, thats my boy'. And my aunt didn't hear it, so as we were repeating the story, Scott was being held up by my mom on her lap and he started doin some hip thrusts. It was perfect timing. He's 6 months old, btw. I ended up having a Kahlua Moca Coffee, which wasn't too bad. And a little of my aunt's mudslide, hehe. After that we headed home, and I've been talkin to people online since then. Oh, and I did get carded at Applebee's. And I got Happy Birthday sung to me!

Bad Spending Habits
I'm STILL waiting to hear back from Mercer to get my final class list. Selling items on eBay is terrible sometimes when you have to deal with asses. Return of the King: EE is GREAT! Saruman's death, the Witch King scene, and the Mouth of Sauron scene are great. Go get it. Its only $23 this week. Normally its what, $35-40? I went and bought 4 players choice GC games along with ROTK:EE and I,Robot. Aah. They were staring at me the wrong way! Tomorrow and Thursday are work. Friday I'm getting my new license and going to A.C. with my mom, and then going to dinner with my family. Oh, new Kingda Ka update, but not by me :(

Hmm, I guess I should Update
Ah it's been over a week since I posted. As usual, haha. It's still the same old stuff really.. trying to get myself motivated to do things. Random little things around my room I need to take care of; websites I need to make, games I need to play. College applications I need to fill out. Ya know. I've been working, which is going ok. Of course I seem to be workin a few more hours than I should the past few weeks so I'm hitting overtime. My job is just grand. I sent out applications but I haven't heard any responses. I'm also working on the college applications and I'm registered for Mercer in the spring. Did I say I went to Rowan last weekend for an open house? It's a nice campus. Rowan and TCNJ (because of its location - I don't want to dorm with someone :( ) are my top two right now. Both offer basically the same major for me. I just need to get these (and other apps) done. I'm still playing World of Warcraft.. gotta get back to Metroid Prime 2, and Half-Life 2... I got some Isaac Asimov books to read now since i'm running out of authors. Harry Turtledove's World War conclusion comes out in a few weeks, yay! Oh you guys have to see this Willy Wonka Preview. It's INSANE. Oh and the new War of the Worlds. My birthday is on Friday. I'm off, gotta get my new license. Not sure what's going on after, probably just family dinner or something. Gotta find a good place to get a drink ;) This year is so different from last year, though. I know I posted around my birthday on my LJ so if you go back far enough you can see what was going on. Return of the King EE (and I Robot) come out on Tuesday! Woo! I gotta watch the other EE's again in anticipation! Oh, and George and I have made a new website based on Great Adventure (and our picture taking). It's www.gainsider.com.
It's almost done now. It needs one more section and then the tophat. It's supposed to be done by the end of the year. Woo! I can't wait for the Coasters After Dark! Oh, and our website has MUCH bigger versions of that picture, and others.

Another Week
Another week has gone by.. nothing exciting really. Just working, cleaning up my room, lounging, trying to finish college apps, trying to find another job.. the usual. This is the first weekend in three weeks that I have it entirely off yay! The only other exciting thing going on is that someone from work and I went hunting for Kingda Ka photographs today. It isn't much higher than it was, but there are some nice pictures. We started out on the safari road that I was on last weekend. Then we were going to follow someone's directions to a campground to walk to the park.. but they were private drives. So we parked at the lake and found a trail.. we walked a long way around the lake, we crossed a land bridge that brings you basically right behind Nitro, Skull Mountain, etc (you'd think they'd get rid of that access route to the park don't you?). We almost made it to a clearing where we could have gotten a great shot of Kingda Ka, but a security guard in an oldsmobile happened to be driving down the other road and told us to go away. Aah!
The side profile below was taken by us on the safari road. The other picture was taken by someone who has access to the construction site. Please remember that this coaster is still only about half it's height, and its already the tallest thing in the park! Well, tomorrow I'm lounging.. get some more stuff down thats on my sticky pad of things to do.

The MMORPG Addiction
So ya, I've decided that the longer I'm without a girlfriend, the more WoW is going to get to me. I'm only level 10, but like I have 15 quests I need to go do.. if I don't get a better real life soon I'm going to be in trouble. That's not to say I want to rush into getting another girlfriend, since I want to make sure I'm with someone who is right for me, but still. What have I been up to the past few days? Working somewhat. A joy as always. Over the weekend i just kind of relaxed. Except for when I was chasing down places to take pictures of Kingda Ka around Jackson and Cream Ridge. Did you know there's a road that goes behind the safari?? You can read all about it here. And I've been playing WoW, like I said. I need to play Half-Life 2, and Metroid Prime, and my Nintendo DS, and all the other games I have. Aah, damn you Blizzard!! I also need to finish up college apps, and I think I'm going to try and work on some websites and the GALRE dvd! I got a new program that might make life easier. Oh, and since it's Christmas time.. For any of you that have heard the Kenny G Auld Lang Syne with the news things clipped into it, I wanted to point you towards one I made a few years back. It includes September 11th stuff. I think it turned out pretty well, and I wanted to share it with you guys. Any comments on it would be appreciated. You can download it here.

Down and Out
Thanksgiving went alright for me. My mom did the cooking and we had family come over. It was me, my brother, my mom, my grandfather, my aunt and uncle and new baby, my other aunt, her long-term boyfriend, and my basically-cousin. We ate, talked for awhile, and then they ended up leaving around 6. At that time I helped move the table back onto the porch, and then I fell asleep. From 6-11:30 I was out. I woke up at 11:30 and ended up talking to people online, and then playing some World of Warcraft, so I didn't go to bed until 3:45. I woke up at 5:30, got showered, and go to work at 5:55. OH MY GOD. There were at least 200 people lined up outside Staples this morning. It was crazy. When my boss opened the doors it was a mad rush inside. We normally do $20-$25,000 a day. We did $40,000 in 4 hours this morning, and the day never calmed down really until I left at 2. I went home and talked to people online, and then I wanted to go down Rt 526 and get some shots of Kingda Ka in the daytime (you can see it from there over by Jackson). So I got the pictures and then I came home and relaxed a bit, and then we went out to dinner to Applebee's. So, not counting my 2 hour nap, I've been up well over 24 hours now, and it's very strange. I'm registered for Mercer classes for the spring, I don't know if I mentioned that.. Tomorrow I need to just relax. My sleeping habit is not good. I think I'm helping my mom put up Christmas decorations. And then who knows, just sit around I guess. I might go to the lake by Great Adventure to see if I can get any more shots. My camera is showing its age, though. But for now.. I think I'm going to take my contacts out, put some drops in my eyes to give them moisture, take a muscle relaxer for my jaw, and fall asleep, and wake up whenever I manage to.

What a week
This week has been.. a pain in the ass. Working Sunday was not cool. Going to talk to transfer counselors at Mercer on Monday was a waste of time, I knew more than they did. I'm still trying to get into Rowan, I need to mail things out. Bringing my car in on Tuesday for service was a disaster. Whenever I can talk more about it I will (I'm tired now). Today I worked 6:30-2:30, went and got a new cell phone (didn't like the other one, so I got the Motorola v551), then lounged at home, then worked 6-10.. now I'm home. So yeah. I'm tired now. I need to clean my room and play some games tomorroww (Like WoW -> I'm on server Uther, name Rejzic. ) Happy Thanksgiving

Who works on Sunday?
Oh man. I haven't worked a Sunday in soooo long. Actually this comment with my boss kinda sums it up Her; "Look, it's Jerry on a Sunday!" Me: "Yea Pat, you could probably count on your hands how many times I've done that since I started here" Mainly that's because I always asked for Sundays off before.. and now with my current position I always have weekends off. It wasn't too bad though. I spent 5 hours filing paperwork, and then three hours doing a pull list to get the store ready for my shoot tomorrow, and I had an hour for lunch. I went to Walmart at 7 this morning to get my hands on a DS like I said I would, and I had a conversation with three other parents that were there waiting for it. At 7 we barged in the door and went to electronics.. where the guy (pothead) had no idea what we were talking about.. Eventualyl he brought out 5 of the 8 he said he found, and they were all sold. And I got Mario 64 DS too. Of course my DS has to have dead pixels on the bottom screen. My GBA SP does too, figures. Luckily I did get the one from EB today so that went to my brother. There's still one coming in the mail tomorrow so I hope that one will be good, and then I'll return this one to Walmart. I haven't had much chance to sit down with it today as after I got it I was letting it charge while playing Half-Life 2, and then I had to go to work. I did some wireless stuff (talking to my bro on it, and playing Metriod and Mario) which worked wonderfully. He was in his own room upstairs for the most part too. More to come I think, stay tuned!
I got my Nintendo DS!
And it has two dead pixels! ... ...... I have two others coming.. one for my brother from EB hopefully today (but as I said, I may not get that one, soo), and one from EBGames.com which will be delivered tomorrow. So if I end up getting both, then if the one tomorrow has no burnt pixels, then back this one that I got today goes. I don't have impressions really yet. It's charging as I want to bring it to work. Time to eat breakfast and do some Half-Lifing :)

ZZAP
Power went out from 8PM - 1:30AM. Ack. It woke me up, that's why it's on. Half-Life 2 is good, hehe. I'm working through it. I have to work tomorrow from 10-7 because my boss wants us all to work 5 days, instead of the usual 4 + a holiday (we still get paid for the holiday, though). So it's more money, but still.. EB says I "should" be one of the people able to pick up a DS tomorrow. I'm going to Walmart at 7AM to hedge my bets and buy another one. I had to replace the winter cover on the pool with my mom today since it got ripped. The pool is disgusting already, we're going to have to drain it in the spring. Every time I turn on my PC now it doesn't boot, and then I reboot, and it tells me "Your CPU hung last boot for an incorrect setting".. so I have to clock down my CPU from 1.7ghz to 1.3ghz. Ack. Time to upgrade I guess, not that I wanted to yet. So it's going to be a Athlon 64 3500+ socket 939. Question though: Winchester or Newcastle core? Abit or Asus board? Oh I got a new cell phone.. the Nokia 6230. It's not too bad. Nicer camera, MP3 ringtones, AIM built in, etc. I need to get a bigger MMC card for it to save more ringtones. Oh, and if I get to the college I want to go to I need to specialize in a certain field of Computer Science. Which would be best for me, and let me get/keep my job? General Computer Science, Numerical & Scientific Computation, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Network & Operating Systems, Programming Language & Compilers, and Software Engineering Monday I have to go to Mercer to talk to a transfer counselor. I hear they're stupid. Tuesday I need to bring my car to Lawrence Toyota to have it looked at. (Scion HQ managed to get me in at Lawrence since Gateway sucks). Oh and, check out how Kingda Ka is doing. Well, time for bed. That's my update. Wish me luck on the DS :)

NYC
I think it's pretty amazing I've been up for 19 hours straight (except for my quick nap on the train back home).. usually I can't handle that, at all. Started out the day by waking up at 5:45 and showering. We left the house at 6:40 to go pick up my grandfather and head to the Hamilton train station. OH, the Hamilton train station. Probably the WORST part of the trip. Not only was the only way to get tickets through the automated systems, they were SO SLOW. We were waiting in line for awhile until we found more ticket booths hidden away. We used those machines, and since we needed three adult round trip and a senior.. well my mom used one to get my grandfather's senior pass, and my machine had to print SIX tickets.. it had to take somewhere between 3-5 minutes. Luckily as SOON as the last ticket printed the train was there, but we almost didn't make it on; I had to jump and pull the doors open again before it closed. They gave like 30 seconds to get on, it was crazy. So we rode the train for about an hour and a half into Penn Station. When we got there we went up and walked down 33rd St past the Empire State Building, down to 3rd Ave and went south to 23rd St, where my brother's college he wants to go to - the School of Visual Arts - was. We got a quick free breakfast, sat through two hours of presentations, and then had a quick lunch. We then toured the two housing areas that guys can stay at. After that, we left. We walked down 23rd St to Broadway and got on a train down to Canal St in Chinatown. We wandered around there a bit, and headed down to Ground Zero. It had changed a lot since I was there, with the train station now open again underneath. There's a lot more viewing area down there as well. We hopped on the subway there and headed up to 42nd St, Times Square. We went into the giant Toys R Us, and then wandered up to Planet Hollywood and got some food. After dinner we walked more north to Rockefeller Center and saw the Christmas Tree, not completely done yet since it needs lights, but still there :) And the ice skating rink. Then we hopped on a subway near there and headed back to 34th St, where we walked back to Penn Station and got on a train to home. We got back around 8:30. All in all it was a pretty good day. I did the navigating, and we only got turned around once (went east intead of west on Canal St) and i noticed it pretty quick. We saw a lot, and my brother has actually never been to NYC before. So yea, that was my day. Definitely different than the norm.

Days Go By
I've just been working and lounging. My room still isn't completely done, but for the most part it's ready to go. I need to print out some college applications and get to filling them out. I just need to go to a meeting at Mercer with a transfer counselor first on the 22nd. I should work on my websites, at least my personal one. And finish the GALRE DVD I'm working on. I also went and hung out with a friend at Stevens Institute last night. All I can say is, ICK! I guess you learn well there? It certainly isn't the most appealing school to the eye.. I'm glad I decided not to go there. Tomorrow is another day of nothing, although I might go run around and look for Nintendo DS displays to play. And then Saturday is NYC with the fam.
Tuesday, November 9, 2004
Hmm
Still attempting to finish off the room. I got to the point where everything is back in it, just not necessarily in the right spots, so I've lost momentum. I'm also trying to work on other misc things. I want a new job, but yea. That search is going nowhere. Thank you Associate's Degree for not giving me ANYTHING. I still resent going to a community college, I should've been at a 4 year, and I could've gone anywhere I'm sure. But then I was thinking.. I could be $60,000 in debt right now at a four year doing CompSci and have no job prospects, so maybe it's better this way, even though it'll take longer.. And I'm pretty sure I'm going to transfer next fall to finish off and get a Bachelor's. I'ved looked at a lot of the local colleges, but Rowan looks like it'll take most of my credits and has the major I want, so I might end up there. I just need to go talk to Mercer to see what'll transfer, and see if I can take new classes in the spring to help. I need to figure out how to make a poll on this LJ so you guys can help me decide what major to take :) I'm also still focusing on my NetFlixing, yea, you know what THAT means. :pets DVD drive: Don't buy corner desks. Ack. It was a small desk, it was supposed to be easy. I swear it ended up being the most difficult furniture assembly I've ever done. I need to play some games, I gotta get to WoW tonight. Did I ever say that Doom 3 was a big waste of money? Well, it was. I didn't really like it. I hope Half-Life 2 is better.. and I'm a BIG Doom fan from the old days, so don't yell at me. Saturday I'm spending all day in NYC with my family because we're going to the college my brother wants to go to - School of Visual Arts - for an open house. I need something to do for the 5 hours we're inside there, haha. The rest of the time will be wandering the city, which is always good. Hit Times Square, Chinatown, Ground Zero, etc. Well I think that's it. I'll update if it's not.

Stuff!
Did I mention that The Incredibles was a good movie? Well, it is.. I'm still re-arranging my room. It's a drastic undertaking, let me tell ya. It's like a one room apartment, I just need the mini-fridge.. Tomorrow I should finish this up and get back to gaming, yay.
Sunday, November 7, 2004
On another note
So I'm just getting ready for bed I guess.. spent most of the day re-arranging my room which still isn't done, guess that's for tomorrow. And I've been talkin to people, which is fun :) I need to get back to playing games, aah! I will I swear!
Don't Choke!
I got an IM from a friend who was doin those IM Spam paste things.. usually I don't pay attention to any anyone sends me but: This one said that we should all send a barrel of pretzel rods to President Bush for Christmas, to show him how we feel. If you understand what that means, you keep in touch with news pretty well :)

Two Weeks Already?
Two weeks already?! HALF-LIFE 2 -> NOVEMBER 16th METROID PRIME 2 -> NOVEMBER 18th NINTENDO DS (& Mario 64 DS) -> NOVEMBER 21st WORLD OF WARCRAFT -> NOVEMBER 22nd! woo! Expensive month :) There's more too.. like the Harry Potter DVD, etc. I gotta see what other games too. some are coming towards Christmas presents. I still need to get a bigger memory card for my Gamecube, and get Paper Mario, Four Swords, etc.. And as soon as a game/program for the Nintendo DS comes out that supports internet wireless play (wich should happen asap), I need to go buy a wireless router to replace the one I have now. Wireless internet play you say? ABSOLUTELY YES! WOOOOO!! Nintendo hit it out of the park with this one, and for $150! I have mine reserved, but I'm hearing that initial shipments are sold out (pre-orders anyway). If you want it you better get to a Walmart or Target early Sunday the 21st. Everyone see the Star Wars: Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith preview?! WOOO Oh, for anyone interested in the construction of KINGDA KA, here's the latest picture (from 11/4). As for what I'm doin now.. eh. I bought a new computer desk 'cause mine is gonna fall apart when one of the cats pounces the wrong way on it one day. So that's gonna require my room to be re-arranged tomorrow. Today I'm gonna help my mom outside with all the leaves and cutting the grass (for the final time for a few months I hope). Then I'm spendin time with my mom and brother and goin to Uno's for dinner and then off to see The Incredibles. And I need to play World of Warcraft damnit, I'm on the beta and I haven't played much. Arg! And I should play Matrix Online too, since I'm in that beta.. but.. ugh..
Thursday, November 4, 2004
So yeah
I've been playing Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 and World of Warcraft the most.. and there's Half-Life 2, Metroid Prime 2, and the Nintendo DS coming out by the end of the month..

The randomness
So I thought I'd update a bit.. Everything is in my car, did I say that before? hehe. I need to get the rest of the pictures up. Uhmm, I have the Nintendo DS reserved, woo! And Mario 64 DS, and Half-Life 2, and World of Warcraft, and Metroid Prime 2.. I'm finally starting to play my GBA again, trying to beat Fire Emblem right now. I've been sucked into the World of Warcraft beta. It's a good game, most addicitve MMO I've ever played, Aaah! Still joh hunting for a better one.. Staples is ok for now though. I want out of retail. Put the Halloween decorations up - we have a blowup spider this year! I got my 2005 Great Adventure season pass last week. I hear that Kingda Ka has gone vertical too, so I think I'll head over there just to see and take pictures tomorrow. I can't believe it's the middle of October already! I'm voting for Kerry :) Bush makes me angry. And yes, I watched all 4 debates, and I had a year's class of local/nation US government (as my friend's know), GALRE, so I know what's up. Speaking of GALRE, I should finish the DVD I'm making of the DC trip.. Last Sunday we went over my aunt's for my baby cousin's christening. What fun. It was the first time my whole family was together since, well, since my aunt and uncle got divorced, and my grandmother died back in 1996.. so it's been awhile. It was nice to see everyone again, including my cousins. Did I ever even say I have a new cousin? His name's Scott, he was born June 21st I believe. It's weird because my brother is 17 and was the youngest in my family until now. Gonna be a strange generation gap there. And what names it even worse is my new cousin's other side of the family (my aunt's husband's side) has kids at 8 and under. The families split up at the party and stayed that way. The age difference is weird.

I GOT MY SCION TC!
Yes folks, you heard it here first.
Last Wednesday I was waiting for Gateway Toyota to call me back like I always was, and I decided to call my salesman. He was giving me some runaround about where my car was, and while he was doing that I saw on their website that they had a black automatic Scion tC. At first he had no idea, but after he said he'd check on it and for me to call him back, he told me the car was someone else's and their deal fell through, so it was mine now! Went down there on Wednesday to sign paperwork and all of that, and I was told I was taking it home that night! Unexpected for sure, so I had to clean out my Cavalier at the dealership ASAP. They didn't even have the money yet and they were giving me the car! After a few haggling hours with getting the loan approved (the finance guy at the dealership can't add for crap, go figure eh?), they got the check for the car on Thursday, and it was mine. I've had it for a few days now, and put 300 miles on it. It's a VERY nice car, and any questions you guys have, feel free to ask, just post in the comments and I'll reply. If you're interested in the car it's www.scion.com. Just remember that the wait right now is AT LEAST 2 months. I waited 6 weeks but only because I got lucky. Who knows how long it would have been if I didn't see that tC in the dealer's database. My salesman sure wouldn't have. If you're in NJ.. try Liberty Toyota in Burlington, or Team Toyota in langhorne. I hear both are good. Lawrence Toyota is terrible. Gateway Toyota in Toms River where I got mine isn't the best, either. The only thing is, as ol right now, the car is back at the dealership getting $3,000 worth of accessories installed! They gave me some pos 2001 Corolla as a loaner and told me everything (except windows tinted) should be installed tomorrow. We'll see. I want my car back :( What am I getting in it? Oh, lets see... 6cd player, XM radio, 10in subwoofer, auto-dimming mirror, Blue LED's, mudguards, door sill protectors, strut bar, wheel locks, security system, floor mats, and bumper protector. And tint. Once it's all in I'll have more pictures. I hope it's soon! Ask questions if you have any! :)

I should update more
I should update more huh? What have I been up to? The usual I guess.. I've been working Monday-Friday 6:30-2:30 as always, doing inventory stuff. It gets reallly boring counting things after awhile. I really want a new job, but no one wants to hire me. Wait to go Associate's Degree! (Yea, I know it isn't much, but still). Is it really worth spending more money on a Bachelor's in IS or IT and be in the same spot? I'm going to keep sending out resumes and see what happens. Maybe I can get a lead/manager position at the Barnes & Noble opening in the Marketplace in November, hehe. I'm thinking about doing the University of Phoenix Online too. Anyone have any experience with them? I keep cleaning my room as I mess it up, and I've been trying to play GBA/GC/PC games. Doom 3 is boring. I got XIII and Sphinx for $10 a piece for GC at Toys R Us, and I got a few GBA games. I have so many games I'm not sure where to start! I'm thinking of getting Sims 2.. who knows. And Paper Mario 2 comes out soon.. as does Half-Life 2 I hope.. Oh, Star Wars is out on DVD tomorrow, yay! I'm getting that. Sometime this week I'm going to see Sky Captain as well. I really should work on my websites, or on the GALRE DVD I keep procrastinating on (GALRE DVD you ask? Just wait and see :) ). I think there was something else to talk about.. oh yeah..

Hrm.. post!
Ya, I haven't posted in two weeks. Whatcha gonna do? hehe. I haven't posted because nothing has really happened.. I'm reading (on Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix), and playing games (Doom 3), or just chatting. I'm still waiting for my car - here's hoping I get a call next week about it. I go to work at 5am now till 1pm, till Sept 11th. Yikes! Uhh.. what else.. nothing really, sorry :)

** WEEKLY UPDATE ** (sorta, hehe)
So yea.. I know I don't update but I'm tryin to get better. What's new? Hmm.. still at Staples, looking for another job. I'm chugging through Return Engagement, which is a good book. Then I'm heading off to read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I've been playing Doom3, which is pretty good (although I haven't gotten really far). Ya know when you get hit the screen shakes, it's very hard to get used to. Gonna play the Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War beta too. Yesterday I went to Island Beach State Park around 5pm. WOW, it was NICE! Water was really warm, nice waves, not a really bad current.. very nice board weather, yessiree. Water was probably better than when I was in LBI. And next week I have a few days off to try and do some things like Hurricane Harbor, but we'll see. Figures there are two tropical storms around now huh? :) I installed WinXP Service Pack 2. I don't know why. Everything seems to be ok so far though. Did I mention that I'm going to Disney next summer for 10 days? YAY! I haven't been there since 1995. Although I had those problems with Lawrence Toyota (see previous post), I did manage to have a better time with Gateway Toyota in Toms River. I have a $500 deposit down on a tC and I just have to wait for it to come in, which I hope is soon..
Lawrence Toyota SUCKS!
Ya know.. I'm aggrivated. Well, kinda. I'll post the more general stuff in my post right after this, but for now I want to rant about Lawrence Toyota. Located on Business Rt 1 South just past Mrs. G's (another evil place) in Lawrenceville, Lawrence Toyota is the closest Toyota-Scion dealership near me, so obviously it was where I thought of going to get my Scion tC. I got an email from them saying "hey, the Scion tC has arrived, come see it!" in the beginning of July. So of course I went the day I saw that email. I was looking at the tC I had there and a salesman came up and asked if I wanted to test drive it. Of course! So he gave me the keys and I went for a little drive (it was fun hehe). When I got back I went inside to talk to the guy who had let me test drive it. He was busy with a customer, so I was passed over to Karl, the Lease Renewal Manager. Karl took my information and went to check on the loan. He came back and said "Are you ready to put a lot down? ha ha ha". I said uh, ok. He told me he would run the financing through and call me the next day. No phone call the next day, so I called Karl the following day. He told me that they were "just backed up and hadn't forgotten about me. And would call me soon". To this day I never heard anything from Karl. A few weeks later I got an email from the Scion Sales Manager, Matt. He asked me why I didn't get a car from Lawrence Toyota. You better believe I let him know. He apologized a lot, looked over the whole situation, and after not hearing back from him for a few days I decided to just go in and talk to him last Monday, August 2nd. He was a lot nicer than Karl, and he went through all the information, had me fill out a loan form, and told me he'd call me the next day (they had to call me because it was later in the day when I went and Toyota Finance wasn't open). So come 2:30 the next day I hadn't heard anything, so I call. Matt tells me their finance manager hasn't heard anything back, so he'd find out why and call me back. Later that night I see he called my house line and left a message 2 hours later (I told him to call my cell...) saying he didn't have my work information on the loan, so he couldn't run it through. I called him back 9:30 Wednesday morning and gave him the information. He told me he'd run the loan through and call me back. Come 4 that afternoon I hadn't heard anything, so I called. He was with a customer, so I left a message asking him to call me back and let me know what happened with the loan. It'll be a week tomorrow, and still no response. The best part? At least 5 times when I was going through the car stuff with Matt he kept apologizing for what Karl did and how he didn't like it because it reflected on the dealership poorly. Well, buddy, you did the same damn thing yourself.

It's Coming!
Not much to report today.. I lounged around, cleaned my room up and put stuff out that I still had packed since before I went on vacation.. I read some of the new Harry Turtledove book, Settling Accounts: Victorious Opposition. I washed my car to get it ready to be sold I hope, and I fixed Kim's computer which was infested with Spyware. So ya, the new Turtledove book is good. It starts World War II with the CS launching a suprise attack into the USA to cut the country in two down the Ohio river. I love Alternate History :) If things go the way I want them to when I call Toyota tomorrow (that is, if the guy I need to talk to is there, and if they give me $5,500 on my trade-in), then I should be able to get a tC this week. When I say 'get' I mean order, of course ;) They're not on the lot, gr.. We'll see. If not I have to wait a few weeks. DOOM 3 COMES OUT ON TUESDAY! WOO! Oh and Sliders Seasons 1 & 2 do too :) Welp, work at 6:30. Sleepy time.

Random Ramblings
So we're planning a family vacation to Disney World next summer. I can't believe it's been 10 years since I've been there, yikes. Sliders seasons 1 and 2 come out on DVD on Tuesday! Settling Accounts: Return Engagement (for anyone who knows of my love of Harry Turtledove alternate history books) comes out next as well, plus DOOM 3! WOOT! Pre-ordered! Of course I bought my PC in anticipation of this a year ago, and it isn't top of the line now, gr.. Rumor has it Half-Life 2 will hit stores in September. We'll see.. Any of you remember Slingo? Great game on AOL (years and years ago when I used AOL). The NJ lottery has an online Slingo game now! $5 for 5 plays! ADDICTING, EEKS! That's why I resort to www.slingo.com as much as possible, since it's free :) Speaking of AOL.. I used it the other day.. I should start worshipping my cable modem and being thankful I have it every day. Oh, you have GOT to see the redesigned Nintendo DS. SEXY! I WANT NOW! I'm planning on taking both parts of the A+ Certification exams soon. I've looked at the objectives and nothing really seems hard about it, I know most of the information. Has anyone taken it? Can anyone give me a few pointers and tips? I'm actually reading Harry Potter now. I saw the first 3 movies, and just started/finished (in about 3 weeks) the 4th book. Time for the 5th I guess. It's actually a very good series, and it's not 'kiddy' at all. Very dark actually, especially as it gets into later books. I have free tickets to go see Catwoman and I STILL don't want to go.. I have to get to Bourne Supremacy too. And I still haven't seen Anchorman. My cats are actually getting more destructive as they reach the one year mark. I thought cats start to calm down? Sheesh. Anyone check out the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, or Batman Begins trailers? They're cool :) I'm still attempting everything possible to get this car, the Scion tC, as soon as possible. It will KICK ASS when I have it! around 20 grand (yea yea) fully loaded with everything I could possibly want. I'm sure I've ranted about this car somewhere before.. I need to get money, grr! I need a non retail tech job, help me! Sure this Inventory Associate thing gives me good hours (Mon-Fri 6:30-2:30), but I can't count things anymore! AAAH!

Star Wars: Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith
It's Official. Revenge of the Sith is the name of Episode 3. Not too bad I guess. On a non related note.. I saw Mr. Mayle in a checkout line at the Walmart in Brick Township today. Talk about weird. Well, thats all. Night :)

Erm yea.. I'm bad at this aren't I? :)
Ha, I keep saying I'm going to keep this updated and I'm doing a really bad job huh. I guess it's probably because nothing really big happens anymore. I work Monday-Friday, clean up my room from my cats, sleep, read, play games.. And I'm still at Staples (trying for another job).. working on getting myself a Scion tC coupe mmmmmmmm (www.scion.com).. uhh Games I'm playing: Megaman Zero, Fire Emblem, Mario & Luigi for GBA.. Prince of Persia, Metal Arms, I-Ninja for GC.. FarCry, Freedom Force, Warcraft 3: tFt, Unreal Tournmanet 2004 for PC.. fun huh? I should get my websites done :) So DOOM 3 IS GOLD! Mine is preordered, and I better get my pewter Pinky figurine damnit! I'm trying EBGames.com new thing: order it online, pick it up in the store. We'll see how well that works. It saves me $10 shipping by driving to get it, but well, I have to drive to get it. But I don't have to put money down like I would if I drove to the store.. we'll see how it works. Oh, supposedly Half-Life 2 is almost done, and Team Fortress 2 is in the finishing stages as well.. erm... HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA Whew, now that I'm past that.. I-Robot is a good movie by the way.. and so is Spiderman 2, hehe. Gotta go see Anchorman and the Bourne Supremacy now. My brother got free tickets to see Catwoman with his Batman Animated Series DVDs though that he gave to me to use..

Spiderman 2 At Midnight!
Ya you guys know me and my midnight movie craze. And there's a Spiderman 2 at 12:01AM on Wednesday June 30th! WOOO! I gotta get it organized. If any of you locally want to come let me know so I can get the tickets asap. Can't wait!!
What movies have you seen?
So, it's summer time, time of the movies. What have you seen so far? This is what I have: Van Helsing -> good (don't listen to those critics), especially if you like monster movies. Felt a bit long Troy -> very good, also felt a bit long. Ending was a bit lacking Day After Tomorrow -> good, great if you like disaster flicks Shrek 2 -> very good, and very very funny Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban -> shorter than the others, but still very good and dark Next up: Garfield, Stepford Wives, and The Chronicles of Riddick. Oh yeah, and Spiderman 2 :)
Boo!
Ya, so I haven't posted in over a month. Why not? I don't know really. Somehow even with school done (and I have my diploma), I still seem to be pretty busy. I'm trying to get back into the swing of playing games and reading too, but for the past two years I've gathered tons of games and stuff and rarely played any of them, so now I have a backlog and I don't even know where to begin. I'm slowly trying :) So what's new with me? Not much.. still looking for a new job. I hope I find one soon; and I'm going to try to do A+ and Network+ certifications. I want to learn some Java as well, and continue work on my 4 websites. Well I plan on posting more, but I just seem to keep bogging myself down. I hope I can get into a routine that gives me some time to do things.

E3 Update!!
Now as most of you know the yearly Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is going on in LA this week. This is the place where all the gaming companies show off their new stuff. And there's been some fun things for Nintendo this year! Gamecube: A New Zelda game! This game features a "modified Wind Waker engine", and is realistic 3D with Link as a teenager! Nothing is really known about the setting, but if you go to cube.ign.com and watch the video you'll be amazed. It's all done by the engine, and so is this picture (Yes, there will be combat on horses).
Advance Wars: Under Fire Donky Kong Jungle Beat Fire Emblem Mario Tennis Geist Star Fox Metroid Prime 2: Echos Pikmin 2 Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures Donkey Konga Paper Mario 2 Game Boy Advance DK: King of Swing The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (yes, a brand new Zelda game for GBA!) Mario Party Advance Donkey Kong Country 2 Kirby & The Amazing Mirror Mario Pinball F-ZERO GP Legend Pok
Finished!
So some people over the past month or so have been asking me why my journal hasn't been updated, and when I planned on doing it. I wasn't aware that there were so many bored people in the world who wanted to read my journal, but I guess I'll start updating again :) Work - still the same, 6:30-3 Monday-Friday at Staples taking care of the store's inventory. Not much exciting there. School - I'm finished at Mercer, yay! I'm getting my Associate's Degree in Computer Systems & Network Administration. Sounds fancy - its not. Sounds like I can do something with it - fat chance. I don't see myself getting away from Staples anytime soon unless I get lucky, I'm so burnt out that I can't take anymore school right now though.. I might go back to Mercer to get another Associate's (with more programming and stuff) to help me transfer somewhere, or I might start at another college from wherever I can.. just not immediately. Right now I'm going to try and work on my certifications, A+, Network+, MCSE, that kinda thing. See if it gets me anywhere. Not too much else is going on.. my pool is open and thanks to this lovely weather (seriously) I'm goin swimming in it this weekend, woohoo. Everyone is still alive in my family (I think), my aunt's getting closer to havin her baby next month, that's about it. So what am I going to do now? RELAX! I need to keep working and get money to help pay off my stupid credit cards I have, but its slowly getting better. I'm poor due to paying bills, but its helping. Other than that, I'm going to get into playing my PC, Gamecube, and GBA games that I haven't touched for awhile, as well as work on my websites (www.jglonek.net, www.jglonek.net, www.2fort.com, and www.digxal.com. Got my work cut out for me, huh? :) I'm going to learn Java, and PHP and whatever else I can to try and make the sites fancy. Right now I'm playing Metroid Zero Mission on my GBA (tryin to beat it), and Guild Wars (E3 beta), Lineage 2, and Unreal Tournament 2004 on my PC. And I'm attempting to create a REAL DVD for my GALRE class trip. Ya, I'll show it to you guys when I'm done. It's lookin good so far :) Well that's it for now, leave a message if you wanna know anything!

HI!
Yeah so I haven't updated this in forever. I mentioned in my last one that I might not. It's just that school is so hectic, I'm really busy with that and work. I have three weeks left of class, then I get my worthless Associate's Degree, and then I'm done and should have more time to post. For quick updates, I'm still at Staples, as the Inventory Associate (did I ever mention that?). I'm doin good in school. My car has been in for repairs A LOT lately, and now I'm out of warranty, so I'm seeing what I can do about that situation. Update soon if something happens. Also, SLIDERS SEASONS 1 AND 2 ARE COMING OUT IN A 6 BOX SET FOR $89.99 ON AUGUST THIRD!!! AND THE SECOND XFILES MOVIE WILL BEGIN FILMING NEXT YEAR WITH BOTH DUCHOVNY AND ANDERSON!! Oh, as for movies.. I saw Hellboy, not bad.

I'm here I'm here
So I've been told by a few people that I should update my journal. Trust me, I want to, I do. I've just been so incredibly busy. School is gettin in the thick of it, I work 6:30-3 Monday-Friday now, I have class 3 nights a week, and then 3 online classes.. yikes! But things are going good at the moment, there's a lot of little things I'd love to post about in my journal, but I have no time. I will make more serious attempts to update this, but you might not see anything until the middle of May when I'm done school and have more free time. Feel free to IM me!

More random stuff
So ya, it's Tuesday evening, and I'm not feelin the greatest, but I want to post some stuff. Work and school is still the same.. I mailed out a resume for the Ewing Township Schools today, they want a computer tech to work on township pc's. Works for me :) Let's hope eh? I need to get away from Staples. I need to graduate from Mercer in May too :/ what fun. So now for more random stuff I've picked up the past few days: RIAA suing people.. in Trenton! Better not be me :D The recording industry sued 531 more computer users Tuesday it said were illegally distributing songs over the Internet in what has become a routine reminder that college students, teenagers and others can face expensive lawsuits for swapping music online. The Recording Industry Association of America filed the latest complaints against ``John Doe'' defendants in lawsuits in Atlanta; Philadelphia; Orlando, Fla.; and Trenton, N.J. It said the defendants were customers of one of five Internet providers based in those cities. Cingular has bought AT&T Wireless, yay! They paid $41 billion, and the deal just has to be finalized with the FCC, and then we get better service and stuff, woohoo!
More to come if I find it again. Stuff like how Vinnie Coppadono's (sp?) gym has been shut down with an eviction notice, how Bill Baroni wants a stupid-developer meter or somethin or other for the township, etc. Fun stuff :)

Random bits I find around
K, nothin new is really going on with me.. just had my day off today and am tryin to do stuff (actually trying to copy my first DVD now, woo!). Oh yeah, and my class at Mercer isn't cancelled cause I called and raised hell. Go me! My brother's birthday is tomorrow, and we're all goin to Big Ed's BBQ in Burlington. Calc is fun, blah! I've found some news stories that I just have to post for you guys to see because they're so funny. First off: Microsoft To Give Away Sexy Pillows With Xbox
Other random things: They're making a Simpsons movie to come up in 2006! And the Star Wars trilogy (special edition ones) are comin out on DVD on September 21st! That's it for now. I'm waiting on a possible Nintendo conference happening to unveil the Nintendo DS. Should be fun if it happens :) I'll post anything else I find in here.
In an effort to boost flagging sales in Japan, Microsoft will be giving away a free 'dakimakura' hugging pillow with each Xbox as of March. The pillows are traditionally for Anime fans as a way of getting 'personal' with their favorite characters. Each freebee will have a double-sided image of female teen character Kasumi from hit Xbox game Dead Or Alive, dressed in a skimpy bikini. Microsoft hope that the sexy gift will help sell an extra 5000 Xbox machines.Next up: Harvard Sex Magazine![]()
Harvard University has approved a student magazine about sex that will feature art, sex advice and fiction -- as well as photographs of undressed Harvard undergraduates. That says it all. Woot! Also. Here's a leaked image of Baraka from Mortal Kombat 6. SWEET! This is probably fmv though. And yes, I liked Mortal Kombat: DA, and I'm lookin forward to MK6.

!*$%) Mercer
Blah. So things were going good with me.. I still had new clue about what I was going to do in the Fall college-wise, but things were getting better.. And now Mercer goes and cancels one of my classes due to 'lack of enrollment'. Unless I can bitch at them enough to keep it open or just give me the credit for it, I can't graduate until the summer or next fall. This really, really sucks. I don't really have much to say besides that.. School is goin alright (besides the class thing).. work is work.. all the stuff I keep wanting to do I'm working on still, heh. My brother gets his license Friday! I went to the Philly Auto Show on Saturday, which was fun :) I definitely want the Cobalt Coupe SS, hehe. So ya, I'm happy with some things, annoyed with others.. that's my life. Oh, and my Palm ate my document I wrote for class tomorrow, gotta retype it on the pc i guess. Valentine's Day is coming up, eep! What's a good restaurant to go to around Hamilton guys? :) I gotta get somethin for that.. somethin for my brother.. Metroid is comin out tomorrow, yay! (that's for me).. Welp, time for bed, work at 7. Go me.

Its-a me!
Another week has rolled by- and I'm off tomorrow, woohoo! Gives me time to catch up on doin my own thing and doin classwork and such. I worked Sunday so I could have this Saturday off. I've been so busy.. aar, I need to clean my room, do some homework.. work on my websites.. play some games.. actually use the DVD burner i bought to make sure it works so I can return it if it doesn't.. oh, I bought Planetside too so that's sucking up some time. Anyone who wants to play that, or does, let me know! You can get a 7 day free trial from shitty.. erm, FilePlanet. And the game is only $20 with a month free, ya know the deal :) Oh and Half-Life2 is delayed AGAIN (TF2 is never coming out, is it?), so it's as good a time as any. What's Planetside like? Tribes :) So one of my friends went to the Philly Auto Show today and got me some pics of the Chevrolet Cobalt SS. I'm pretty sure this will be my next car when it comes out later this year, although I'll probably get the Sedan SS edition which will look a lil different.

Time rolls on
Hmm.. I need to head to bed since it's 1am and I have work at 7. The incoming ice/sleet isn't going to affect me at all, neither will the 4-8 inches of snow comin tomorrow night. Not too much has changed.. workin at Staples, still job hunting (I found a nice tech job at the state - it's a shame it's seasonal. I might still go for it... $400 a week is better than $250, even for a few months). Classes started last week, so I have Calculus (again), Computer Systems Management, Sociology, Mass Media, and Java Programming. Whee. My last semester, now I need to get a few college apps out. I guess I should send some out anyway, even though I'm not sure what I'm gonna do. Maybe I'll work on getting certs instead of a bachelor's right now? Who knows.. any input would be helpful. I'm doin Computer Systems & Networking Administration at the moment. That's pretty much it - waitin for my tax return to pay some bills.. downloaded the free 7 day trial of PlanetSide, bought a $99 8x DVDRW burner (on sale at Staples this week) that I'm slowly getting myself to use - I think I'll redo my 2002 DC Trip in DVD format first ;) School, work, clean room, games.. thats my life, heh. Fun huh? Ooh I still have some truffles.. Oh, if you haven't yet please visit my new site.

The Nintendo DS
Wooa, I've been wondering what Nintendo's mystery product is, and now they've unveiled it (info at least). All I can say is.. woa. I don't know how they plan on keeping it separate from the Gamecube and GBA, and how well it'll even sell (not to mention it's going to be going up against the PSP so it better be damn powerful), but here's the press release:
REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 20, 2004--An unprecedented approach to video game play -- holding two separate game screens in the palm of your hand -- hits the scene later this year when Nintendo introduces a new portable game system, code-named Nintendo DS. From information made available today, players can look forward to being able to manage their game progress from two different perspectives, enhancing both the speed and strategy of the challenge. For example in a soccer game, users can view the whole game on one screen while simultaneously focusing on an individual soccer player's tackle or goal on the other screen. Players will no longer be forced to interrupt game play to shift perspective, such as moving from a wide shot to a close up, or alternating between a character's ongoing battle and a map of the environment. Nintendo DS makes it possible to perform the tasks in real time by simply glancing from one screen to the other. Today's announcement is but a glimpse of the additional features and benefits that will be shown in full at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles in May. Once fully revealed, players will see innovative advances in game interaction. "We have developed Nintendo DS based upon a completely different concept from existing game devices in order to provide players with a unique entertainment experience for the 21st century," explains Satoru Iwata, Nintendo president. Nintendo DS features two separate 3-inch TFT LCD display panels, separate processors, and semiconductor memory of up to 1 Gigabit. It's scheduled to launch worldwide before the end of 2004. In addition to Nintendo-developed software, the company is in discussions with third-party game developers around the world. Nintendo DS will be marketed separately from the company's existing Nintendo Game Boy(R) Advance portable system and Nintendo GameCube(TM) home console. The worldwide leader and innovator in the creation of interactive entertainment, Nintendo Co., Ltd., of Kyoto, Japan, manufactures and markets hardware and software for its popular home and portable video game systems. Each year, hundreds of all-new titles for the best-selling Game Boy(R) Advance and Nintendo GameCube(TM) systems extend Nintendo's vast game library and continue the tradition of delivering a rich, diverse mix of quality video games for players of all ages. Since the release of its first home video game system in 1983, Nintendo has sold more than 1.8 billion video games globally, creating enduring industry icons such as Mario(TM) and Donkey Kong(R) and launching popular culture franchise phenomena such as Metroid(TM), Zelda(TM) and Pokemon(R). A wholly owned subsidiary, Nintendo of America Inc., based in Redmond, Wash., serves as headquarters for Nintendo's operations in the Western Hemisphere.

I'm still here!
Yea I know, some of you were probably rejoicing that I hadn't posted any updates in a little while again. But I'm still here, and kicking amazingly :) I've actually been doing stuff this time too, shock! I'm still working 5 days a week, making $250 or so a week.. not the greatest but it's money. I've been looking for another job but no luck so far. I'm gettin tired of Staples, and of retail in general. I start school again today - 2 classes at Mercer, 3 online. This is my last semester, yay! Then I get my associate's and then what? Who knows.. I need to get on those college apps and finish them off. And as for my relationship side.. it's going very well :) Oh and I filed my taxes today, YAY! I'm gettin $460ish back all together, not too bad. Hey, Cingular is attempting to buy AT&T Wireless. I'm happy about that, because it means that I can roam on AT&T networks if it happens, and AT&T seems to have better coverage near me than Cingular. woohoo! I'll keep you posted ;) Hey, I'm sure some of you have read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy right (RIP Douglas Adams *sniffle*)? You know they're making a movie off of it right? Check out this pic of concept art for Marvin the Paranoid Android - Warwick Davis (Leprachaun, Wicket the Ewok, etc) is up for the role..
Speaking of what I've been doing recently.. last Wednesday I and some others decided to create a website, and I began to work on it Thursday, and by Saturday www.jglonek.net, is still being worked on. My success with scripting on 2Fort gives me hope that Mystic Dragon might end up what I want it to be some day.

uh, hi :)
Yea yea, I know I haven't updated this in a long time. I think I need to update it now though or people are going to stop even checking to see if it's changed or not. I've just been working a lot, and doing other assorted things - cleaning my room every day thanks to my cats, filling out college applications, trying to find a new job, etc. So where to start.. I've been working on my website somewhat, trying to get things going. I've been working on my personal information part mostly, which you can read at info.mystdrag.com. I'm putting up information about me, and links to where you can see C++ programs I've written, and websites I've made, and stuff. Once I get that done I'll get back on track with my company part of it, as well as the news part of it. I know it's taking me awhile :) And I'm debating on restarting TFH! Yay! Or at least some type of gaming site; and Mystic Dragon might be going away, I'll have to see if I can come up with anything better. And I'm starting school again next week, yay! Mass Media, Sociology, Java Programming, Management of Computer Systems, and Calculus. My last semester at Mercer and then I get my Associate's Degree. I really want to just get a job and be done with it, but I'm also filling out college applications because who knows anymore. I'm so tired of Staples, I've been filling out applications left and right. I just want a ground floor IT job, why is it so hard :( Oh and I've been playing games too - attempting to finish The Frozen Throne now, and then move onto the other bazillion games I own. I'm getting about $500 back in tax returns, but its almost all going on credit cards - I might use a little and pay off other stuff, or get a nice 8x DVD burner as they're gettin cheaper (every week one seems to be on sale for $120-$130 - not bad at all). My computer is still alive and kicking besides that. That's pretty much it for now.. the rest of the night I'm going to be figuring out my website, cleaning my room, and generally falling asleep. To end the night are two random things: If you'd like to sign up to marry a 20 year old pregnant Lithuanian model, click here! (pics available there as well). Someone read this article about Nintendo's mystery product and make sense of it for me.
