The MMORPG Addiction
So ya, I've decided that the longer I'm without a girlfriend, the more WoW is going to get to me. I'm only level 10, but like I have 15 quests I need to go do.. if I don't get a better real life soon I'm going to be in trouble. That's not to say I want to rush into getting another girlfriend, since I want to make sure I'm with someone who is right for me, but still. What have I been up to the past few days? Working somewhat. A joy as always. Over the weekend i just kind of relaxed. Except for when I was chasing down places to take pictures of Kingda Ka around Jackson and Cream Ridge. Did you know there's a road that goes behind the safari?? You can read all about it here. And I've been playing WoW, like I said. I need to play Half-Life 2, and Metroid Prime, and my Nintendo DS, and all the other games I have. Aah, damn you Blizzard!! I also need to finish up college apps, and I think I'm going to try and work on some websites and the GALRE dvd! I got a new program that might make life easier. Oh, and since it's Christmas time.. For any of you that have heard the Kenny G Auld Lang Syne with the news things clipped into it, I wanted to point you towards one I made a few years back. It includes September 11th stuff. I think it turned out pretty well, and I wanted to share it with you guys. Any comments on it would be appreciated. You can download it here.

Down and Out
Thanksgiving went alright for me. My mom did the cooking and we had family come over. It was me, my brother, my mom, my grandfather, my aunt and uncle and new baby, my other aunt, her long-term boyfriend, and my basically-cousin. We ate, talked for awhile, and then they ended up leaving around 6. At that time I helped move the table back onto the porch, and then I fell asleep. From 6-11:30 I was out. I woke up at 11:30 and ended up talking to people online, and then playing some World of Warcraft, so I didn't go to bed until 3:45. I woke up at 5:30, got showered, and go to work at 5:55. OH MY GOD. There were at least 200 people lined up outside Staples this morning. It was crazy. When my boss opened the doors it was a mad rush inside. We normally do $20-$25,000 a day. We did $40,000 in 4 hours this morning, and the day never calmed down really until I left at 2. I went home and talked to people online, and then I wanted to go down Rt 526 and get some shots of Kingda Ka in the daytime (you can see it from there over by Jackson). So I got the pictures and then I came home and relaxed a bit, and then we went out to dinner to Applebee's. So, not counting my 2 hour nap, I've been up well over 24 hours now, and it's very strange. I'm registered for Mercer classes for the spring, I don't know if I mentioned that.. Tomorrow I need to just relax. My sleeping habit is not good. I think I'm helping my mom put up Christmas decorations. And then who knows, just sit around I guess. I might go to the lake by Great Adventure to see if I can get any more shots. My camera is showing its age, though. But for now.. I think I'm going to take my contacts out, put some drops in my eyes to give them moisture, take a muscle relaxer for my jaw, and fall asleep, and wake up whenever I manage to.

What a week
This week has been.. a pain in the ass. Working Sunday was not cool. Going to talk to transfer counselors at Mercer on Monday was a waste of time, I knew more than they did. I'm still trying to get into Rowan, I need to mail things out. Bringing my car in on Tuesday for service was a disaster. Whenever I can talk more about it I will (I'm tired now). Today I worked 6:30-2:30, went and got a new cell phone (didn't like the other one, so I got the Motorola v551), then lounged at home, then worked 6-10.. now I'm home. So yeah. I'm tired now. I need to clean my room and play some games tomorroww (Like WoW -> I'm on server Uther, name Rejzic. ) Happy Thanksgiving

Who works on Sunday?
Oh man. I haven't worked a Sunday in soooo long. Actually this comment with my boss kinda sums it up Her; "Look, it's Jerry on a Sunday!" Me: "Yea Pat, you could probably count on your hands how many times I've done that since I started here" Mainly that's because I always asked for Sundays off before.. and now with my current position I always have weekends off. It wasn't too bad though. I spent 5 hours filing paperwork, and then three hours doing a pull list to get the store ready for my shoot tomorrow, and I had an hour for lunch. I went to Walmart at 7 this morning to get my hands on a DS like I said I would, and I had a conversation with three other parents that were there waiting for it. At 7 we barged in the door and went to electronics.. where the guy (pothead) had no idea what we were talking about.. Eventualyl he brought out 5 of the 8 he said he found, and they were all sold. And I got Mario 64 DS too. Of course my DS has to have dead pixels on the bottom screen. My GBA SP does too, figures. Luckily I did get the one from EB today so that went to my brother. There's still one coming in the mail tomorrow so I hope that one will be good, and then I'll return this one to Walmart. I haven't had much chance to sit down with it today as after I got it I was letting it charge while playing Half-Life 2, and then I had to go to work. I did some wireless stuff (talking to my bro on it, and playing Metriod and Mario) which worked wonderfully. He was in his own room upstairs for the most part too. More to come I think, stay tuned!
I got my Nintendo DS!
And it has two dead pixels! ... ...... I have two others coming.. one for my brother from EB hopefully today (but as I said, I may not get that one, soo), and one from EBGames.com which will be delivered tomorrow. So if I end up getting both, then if the one tomorrow has no burnt pixels, then back this one that I got today goes. I don't have impressions really yet. It's charging as I want to bring it to work. Time to eat breakfast and do some Half-Lifing :)

ZZAP
Power went out from 8PM - 1:30AM. Ack. It woke me up, that's why it's on. Half-Life 2 is good, hehe. I'm working through it. I have to work tomorrow from 10-7 because my boss wants us all to work 5 days, instead of the usual 4 + a holiday (we still get paid for the holiday, though). So it's more money, but still.. EB says I "should" be one of the people able to pick up a DS tomorrow. I'm going to Walmart at 7AM to hedge my bets and buy another one. I had to replace the winter cover on the pool with my mom today since it got ripped. The pool is disgusting already, we're going to have to drain it in the spring. Every time I turn on my PC now it doesn't boot, and then I reboot, and it tells me "Your CPU hung last boot for an incorrect setting".. so I have to clock down my CPU from 1.7ghz to 1.3ghz. Ack. Time to upgrade I guess, not that I wanted to yet. So it's going to be a Athlon 64 3500+ socket 939. Question though: Winchester or Newcastle core? Abit or Asus board? Oh I got a new cell phone.. the Nokia 6230. It's not too bad. Nicer camera, MP3 ringtones, AIM built in, etc. I need to get a bigger MMC card for it to save more ringtones. Oh, and if I get to the college I want to go to I need to specialize in a certain field of Computer Science. Which would be best for me, and let me get/keep my job? General Computer Science, Numerical & Scientific Computation, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Network & Operating Systems, Programming Language & Compilers, and Software Engineering Monday I have to go to Mercer to talk to a transfer counselor. I hear they're stupid. Tuesday I need to bring my car to Lawrence Toyota to have it looked at. (Scion HQ managed to get me in at Lawrence since Gateway sucks). Oh and, check out how Kingda Ka is doing. Well, time for bed. That's my update. Wish me luck on the DS :)

NYC
I think it's pretty amazing I've been up for 19 hours straight (except for my quick nap on the train back home).. usually I can't handle that, at all. Started out the day by waking up at 5:45 and showering. We left the house at 6:40 to go pick up my grandfather and head to the Hamilton train station. OH, the Hamilton train station. Probably the WORST part of the trip. Not only was the only way to get tickets through the automated systems, they were SO SLOW. We were waiting in line for awhile until we found more ticket booths hidden away. We used those machines, and since we needed three adult round trip and a senior.. well my mom used one to get my grandfather's senior pass, and my machine had to print SIX tickets.. it had to take somewhere between 3-5 minutes. Luckily as SOON as the last ticket printed the train was there, but we almost didn't make it on; I had to jump and pull the doors open again before it closed. They gave like 30 seconds to get on, it was crazy. So we rode the train for about an hour and a half into Penn Station. When we got there we went up and walked down 33rd St past the Empire State Building, down to 3rd Ave and went south to 23rd St, where my brother's college he wants to go to - the School of Visual Arts - was. We got a quick free breakfast, sat through two hours of presentations, and then had a quick lunch. We then toured the two housing areas that guys can stay at. After that, we left. We walked down 23rd St to Broadway and got on a train down to Canal St in Chinatown. We wandered around there a bit, and headed down to Ground Zero. It had changed a lot since I was there, with the train station now open again underneath. There's a lot more viewing area down there as well. We hopped on the subway there and headed up to 42nd St, Times Square. We went into the giant Toys R Us, and then wandered up to Planet Hollywood and got some food. After dinner we walked more north to Rockefeller Center and saw the Christmas Tree, not completely done yet since it needs lights, but still there :) And the ice skating rink. Then we hopped on a subway near there and headed back to 34th St, where we walked back to Penn Station and got on a train to home. We got back around 8:30. All in all it was a pretty good day. I did the navigating, and we only got turned around once (went east intead of west on Canal St) and i noticed it pretty quick. We saw a lot, and my brother has actually never been to NYC before. So yea, that was my day. Definitely different than the norm.

Days Go By
I've just been working and lounging. My room still isn't completely done, but for the most part it's ready to go. I need to print out some college applications and get to filling them out. I just need to go to a meeting at Mercer with a transfer counselor first on the 22nd. I should work on my websites, at least my personal one. And finish the GALRE DVD I'm working on. I also went and hung out with a friend at Stevens Institute last night. All I can say is, ICK! I guess you learn well there? It certainly isn't the most appealing school to the eye.. I'm glad I decided not to go there. Tomorrow is another day of nothing, although I might go run around and look for Nintendo DS displays to play. And then Saturday is NYC with the fam.

Hmm
Still attempting to finish off the room. I got to the point where everything is back in it, just not necessarily in the right spots, so I've lost momentum. I'm also trying to work on other misc things. I want a new job, but yea. That search is going nowhere. Thank you Associate's Degree for not giving me ANYTHING. I still resent going to a community college, I should've been at a 4 year, and I could've gone anywhere I'm sure. But then I was thinking.. I could be $60,000 in debt right now at a four year doing CompSci and have no job prospects, so maybe it's better this way, even though it'll take longer.. And I'm pretty sure I'm going to transfer next fall to finish off and get a Bachelor's. I'ved looked at a lot of the local colleges, but Rowan looks like it'll take most of my credits and has the major I want, so I might end up there. I just need to go talk to Mercer to see what'll transfer, and see if I can take new classes in the spring to help. I need to figure out how to make a poll on this LJ so you guys can help me decide what major to take :) I'm also still focusing on my NetFlixing, yea, you know what THAT means. :pets DVD drive: Don't buy corner desks. Ack. It was a small desk, it was supposed to be easy. I swear it ended up being the most difficult furniture assembly I've ever done. I need to play some games, I gotta get to WoW tonight. Did I ever say that Doom 3 was a big waste of money? Well, it was. I didn't really like it. I hope Half-Life 2 is better.. and I'm a BIG Doom fan from the old days, so don't yell at me. Saturday I'm spending all day in NYC with my family because we're going to the college my brother wants to go to - School of Visual Arts - for an open house. I need something to do for the 5 hours we're inside there, haha. The rest of the time will be wandering the city, which is always good. Hit Times Square, Chinatown, Ground Zero, etc. Well I think that's it. I'll update if it's not.

Stuff!
Did I mention that The Incredibles was a good movie? Well, it is.. I'm still re-arranging my room. It's a drastic undertaking, let me tell ya. It's like a one room apartment, I just need the mini-fridge.. Tomorrow I should finish this up and get back to gaming, yay.

On another note
So I'm just getting ready for bed I guess.. spent most of the day re-arranging my room which still isn't done, guess that's for tomorrow. And I've been talkin to people, which is fun :) I need to get back to playing games, aah! I will I swear!
Don't Choke!
I got an IM from a friend who was doin those IM Spam paste things.. usually I don't pay attention to any anyone sends me but: This one said that we should all send a barrel of pretzel rods to President Bush for Christmas, to show him how we feel. If you understand what that means, you keep in touch with news pretty well :)

Two Weeks Already?
Two weeks already?! HALF-LIFE 2 -> NOVEMBER 16th METROID PRIME 2 -> NOVEMBER 18th NINTENDO DS (& Mario 64 DS) -> NOVEMBER 21st WORLD OF WARCRAFT -> NOVEMBER 22nd! woo! Expensive month :) There's more too.. like the Harry Potter DVD, etc. I gotta see what other games too. some are coming towards Christmas presents. I still need to get a bigger memory card for my Gamecube, and get Paper Mario, Four Swords, etc.. And as soon as a game/program for the Nintendo DS comes out that supports internet wireless play (wich should happen asap), I need to go buy a wireless router to replace the one I have now. Wireless internet play you say? ABSOLUTELY YES! WOOOOO!! Nintendo hit it out of the park with this one, and for $150! I have mine reserved, but I'm hearing that initial shipments are sold out (pre-orders anyway). If you want it you better get to a Walmart or Target early Sunday the 21st. Everyone see the Star Wars: Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith preview?! WOOO Oh, for anyone interested in the construction of KINGDA KA, here's the latest picture (from 11/4). As for what I'm doin now.. eh. I bought a new computer desk 'cause mine is gonna fall apart when one of the cats pounces the wrong way on it one day. So that's gonna require my room to be re-arranged tomorrow. Today I'm gonna help my mom outside with all the leaves and cutting the grass (for the final time for a few months I hope). Then I'm spendin time with my mom and brother and goin to Uno's for dinner and then off to see The Incredibles. And I need to play World of Warcraft damnit, I'm on the beta and I haven't played much. Arg! And I should play Matrix Online too, since I'm in that beta.. but.. ugh..

So yeah
I've been playing Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 and World of Warcraft the most.. and there's Half-Life 2, Metroid Prime 2, and the Nintendo DS coming out by the end of the month..
